Borzhava Range and Shypit Waterfall

The Shypit Waterfall and the Borzhava Range are well-known Carpathian jewels, and are very popular among tourists. That’s understandable: such picturesque landscapes are hard to find in other places. Just a couple of hours – and your eyes will see the majestic panorama of the Borzhava Range, so beautiful, that you’ll need some time to recover from the avalanche of overwhelming emotions.

The first destination of our Hike to the Borzhava Range is the ascent of the Mount Velyky Verkh, 1600 m above the sea level. On descent, we will visit the Shypit Waterfall with its jingling streams.

The starting point of our journey will be the Volovets Village. We will come there by an electric train Lviv-Mukachevo. From there, we will take a bus to the Pylypets Village. After that – the mountain hike among majestic and proud fir-trees, higher and higher, closer to the sun, the sky and the free-flying wind. After visiting the last destination of our brief journey – the waterfall – we descend back to Volovets and depart from there to Lviv.

A one-day journey on a weekend will be not just an interesting adventure, but also a kind of a rehearsal of a longer hike, which you definitely should plan for a vacation.
