Shevchenkivsky Hai is one of the elements that form cultural image of Lviv. It is both an ethnographic park and a museum of folk arts, crafts and architecture.

Among the exponents are examples of wooden architecture from different Western-Ukrainian historical regions, such as Boykivshchyna, Hutzulshchyna, Lemkivshchyna, Podillia, Bukovina and Volhynia, built in the 18th – 19th centuries. The museum is divided into several ethnographic zones.

Shevchenkivsky Hai is situated on the hills of Roztochia, covered with forests. There are 54 wooden homesteads on the territory, all carefully transported from the regions. Here you may enjoy a wonderful mix of hilly landscape, architectural monuments and Carpathian flora. There are four exhibition halls in the Skansen, two of them with permanent exhibitions. Visitors may see objects of folk arts and crafts there.

Arrangement of the buildings reconstructs typical homesteads of different social classes. There are clothes, tools and other objects of everyday life of the period inside the houses. Our guide will take you on an exciting tour of the museum territory, and will tell you everything you have to know to feel the atmosphere of those times and to understand Ukrainian folk culture better.
