Tour of Kamianets-Podilskyi

The Kamianets-Podilskyi Tour and Dniester Cruise – a bus tour from Lviv – is a two-day journey full of novel experiences and adventures! You will see and feel the beauty of Podillia: picturesque river canyons, mysterious caves, impenetrable fortresses… You will go on a cruise on the Dniester River.
We will start from a Tour of Kamianets-Podilskyi, the city of a fabulous beauty and picturesque landscapes. It is here that the Smotrych River looks especially magical thanks to a canyon, as if painted by an artist. Architectural monuments are of equal importance; there is such a concentration of them here, that not many cities in Europe can rival this ensemble. Kamianets-Podilskyi ranks third among Ukrainian cities in number of architectural monuments. That’s why it is considered one of the marvels of our country.
A fortress here dates back to the 13th-18th centuries. The Catholic Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul is an architectural jewel of the 16th century. And there’s a minaret next to it with a figure of Virgin Mary – quite an unusual sight! Kamianets also preserves one of the oldest City Halls in Ukraine (15th century). Everything breathes history here; every place hides its own stories. The city is remarkable for its harmony between architecture and natural landscapes.

Cruise on the Dniester
The Dniester River offers you quiet waters, picturesque banks and sweet air – a good combination for a weekend. A cruise on the Dniester on a comfortable motor ship with stops to see the most interesting sights will create a relaxed atmosphere. The "Podilski Tovtry" National Nature Park is a place where rocks loom over the mirror-like waters of the Dniester; these sights will make you breathless and wordless – all you can do is absorb the beauty and magnificence of Mother Nature with all five senses. You will definitely remember this journey and want to repeat it many times.

Khotyn – a Tourists’ Favourite and a Movie Hero
The Khotyn Fortress still impresses with its high strong walls, despite its age (founded in the 13th century). The well in its yard is 65 m deep. From the walls of the fortress, you can enjoy magnificent panoramas of the Dniester. The Khotyn Fortress was a witness and an important participant in numerous historical events and military conflicts that played a major part in history of Ukraine and of Europe in general.

Bilche-Zolote – the Mysterious Caves
The Cave Verteba, often called “the Pompei on the Dniester”, is a unique natural and archaeological site. It surpasses most of the known caves in the world in number of artefacts from different ages found here. The descent to the cave is 8 km long. The temperature is constant: 11° C throughout the year.
One more interesting feature of the cave is the Stone Straw Labirynth, named so because of the thick tangle of stalactites hanging from its ceiling.
The cave host the Museum of Archaeology, Neolith and the Trypillian Culture, that doesn’t have a match in any other place in the world. The diorama in the museum, complete with Trypillian artefacts – objects of everyday use, ritual objects, among them sculptures, etc. – creates a feeling of time-travel. We come back to the past, when our ancestors only started on their way to understanding this vast and mysterious world.
Feel Ukraine invites you on exciting tours of Western Ukraine. A Weekend Tour is a perfect opportunity to spend your time on getting interesting and informative experience.
